This Carpenters show blends lush harmonies, rich instrumentation, and world-class artistry. Transporting you joyfully back to Yesterday Once More.

  • Sue’s quartet is comprised of piano, bass and drums, performing Jazz, Blues, Bossa and tunes from favorite singer songwriters of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.

Perfect for both large events and intimate gatherings—private parties, receptions, fundraising auction events.

  • ‍Your group of up to 15 will be treated to dinner, drinks and live music at Sue’s quintessentially Seattle houseboat in the heart of Lake Union while raising money for your favorite non-profit.

Enjoy a mix of Jazz and 70’s music – with her trio while taking in panoramic view of the Space Needle from her Eastlake deck. You and your guests can watch the ducks, sailboat races, rowers, kayakers and resident beavers who frequent the waters near the dock.

To be scheduled on a mutually agreeable date, but spring, summer or early fall are suggested to enjoy the best weather and activity.

Sue Nixon….

Sue Nixon is a Seattle-based vocalist known for her articulate phrasing and deep emotional connection to both the music and her audience. With a longtime presence in the Pacific Northwest music scene, Sue has built a reputation as a versatile singer who moves seamlessly from smoky jazz ballads to 70’s rock tunes and her soaring Karen Carpenter features with radio legend Bob Rivers’ Twisted Tune parodies.

Sue performs with Seattle’s top musicians at venues and special events throughout the region. She has been a featured vocalist with Seattle’s premiere Steely Dan tribute band, Nearly Dan; the Bakes Place All Star band; and Joey Jewell’s Sinatra at the Sands Show with the Swinging 60’s orchestra. Most recently Sue has debuted a Carpenters tribute show, honoring the legendary duo with top tier local musicians and her own authentic presence.

Beyond the stage, Sue’s life story of surviving a cardiac arrest on Valentines Day 2007,  deepens her sense of gratitude and purpose—an experience she has shared publicly to inspire others and to champion the lifesaving power of community, emergency response, and blood donation. That life-changing event continues to inform her artistry, bringing an added layer of depth to every performance.
